An afternoon with Lynne Rossetto Kasper

I’ve been listening to NPR’s Splendid Table for awhile now and have always enjoyed Lynne’s program. For an hour every week, I get to step into a food-obsessed world, where it’s okay for me to get giddy to learn about cutting boards, the history of the California roll and Roncal (a Spanish sheep’s milk cheese).

On Splendid Table, no food subject goes untouched. From food marketing, to recipes to restaurants, Lynne covers it all and seems to be an expert on just about every topic. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to meet Lynne as she was traveling through North Carolina last week. Listening to her program once a week I’ve sometimes wondered, “could she possibly be as nice in person as she sounds on her show?” Absolutely. She was wonderfully sincere and kind and was very enthusiastic about Foodzie, which of course got us quite excited!

If you’re a foodie and haven’t heard her program (available free on iTunes), I’d suggest you sample it at least once. You might just get hooked.

And to Lynne…Thanks for chatting with us and for your enthusiasm and support for Foodzie! We hope to see you the next time you pass through North Carolina.
